In this article, we’ll share a 3-day itinerary for visiting the island. Our route includes visiting the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca, to enjoy its wonderful coves and the charm of its towns.

Day 1: Discovering Palma de Mallorca
We begin our adventure by visiting the majestic Palma Cathedral, also known as La Seu. If you pass by, you won’t be able to miss its impressive Gothic architecture and its seafront location. Next, we immerse ourselves in the charm of the old town, strolling through its narrow cobblestone streets and discovering its charming towns such as Santa Catalina and La Lonja.
Day 2: Beaches, Coves, and Natural Landscapes
On our second day of the route, we dedicated the day to relaxing on the best beaches in Mallorca. From popular ones like Playa de Palma or Cala Mayor, to more hidden ones like Cala Pi or Cala Varques, each one offers its own unique beauty and atmosphere. Plus, don’t miss the opportunity to explore Mallorca’s impressive caves, such as the Hams Caves.
Day 3: Excursion to Cap de Formentor and Valldemossa
On our last day of the route, we decided to take an excursion to Cap de Formentor, located at the northern tip of the island. We fell in love with its cliffs and incredible views, so we definitely recommend making it a stop on your trip. Afterwards, we got back in the car and visited Valldemossa, a charming village in the Tramuntana Mountains. Wander its cobblestone streets, visit the famous monastery, and sample the local culinary delights.

You can also rent a car to have greater freedom of movement and explore at your own pace.
Best time to visit Mallorca
Mallorca offers a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. The best time to visit the island, in our opinion, to avoid overheating, is during spring (April-May-June) and autumn (September-October), when temperatures are pleasant and there are fewer tourists. However, if you prefer to enjoy the sun and sea, July and August are ideal, although there may be more crowds on the beaches and tourist spots.
Accommodation on the Island
Mallorca offers a wide range of accommodations for all tastes and budgets. In the capital, Palma de Mallorca, you’ll find luxury hotels, tourist apartments, and hostels. In the coastal and rural areas, there are boutique hotels, country houses, and villas. You can also choose to stay in traditional Mallorcan fincas for a more authentic experience.
